The released archival materials make it possible to single out the main eviction actions of the Soviet regime in Bukovina and the peculiarities of their preparation and implementation. The materials also make it possible to establish the names of repressed and repatriated persons as well as employees of the Soviet penal authorities involved in the violent evictions of residents of the region. An attempt was made to calculate the number of people forcibly evicted from the territory of the Chernivtsi region, against the background of the general situation in the western regions of Ukraine.
