The book features documents, which highlight the struggle between Soviet state security forces and the Ukrainian nationalist movement on the territory of contemporary Zaporizhia Oblast. The documents chronologically encompass the period beginning with the end of the German-Soviet war in the spring of 1945 and concluding with the end of 1949. The publication sheds light on covert operations, the intelligence activities of agents and informants, and the arrests of the members of the nationalist underground. A considerable amount of attention in the documents is focused on the activity of those Ukrainians, who arrived in chronological order on the territory of Zaporizhia Oblast from western Ukrainian lands, particularly from those territories which had since become part of Poland.
This publication is intended for scholars, researchers, university-level lecturers, graduate students, undergraduates and anyone who is interested in the history of his/her own homeland.
