Yaroslav Starukh was one of the brilliant personalities of the nationalliberation movement of the middle 20th century. Starukh was one of the organizers and ideologue and, in 19451947, the leader of the struggle of the OUN and UPA in the Ukrainian ethnic lands that are part of Poland (so called Zakerzonnia). The essential part of this compilation is made up of his works that elighten important ideological, political and historical questions. Also included here are the most important documents and memoirs that pertain to his life, as well as a biographical essay that is based on a variety of sources including little and, until now, completely unknown documents of the Soviet and Polish police and state security organs.
