The biography of Taras Borovets («Bulba») is covered in a monograph based on a significant number of sources. The political views, economic, military and intelligence activities of the rebel leader are comprehensively analyzed. The book includes an assessment of whether or not Borovets was actually the founder of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. Considerable attention in the study is devoted to the establishment of Bulba’s movement in the Volyn region of Polissia.
